What is Grant's Smorgasbord?
It's a little 30-minute Saturday-morning radio variety hour from small-town Minnesota, hosted by Grant Peterson from a card table on the dock in Westbrook. Warm, folksy stories about lake country, church suppers, the high school teams, and whoever wanders by — with regulars Ole, Lena, Hilda, Coach Sorenson and Earl.

Grant hosts. The regulars are Ole and Lena (married, and not shy about correcting each other on the air), Hilda from the Trinity Lutheran Ladies' Aid, Coach Sorenson at the Loons athletics desk, and Earl the depot man, who blows the show's whistle. Meet them all on the cast page.

A gentle, wholesome variety hour — Ole-and-Lena style Minnesota humor, lake-country stories, church-basement comedy and small-town sports. Funny without ever being mean. If you like the slow comfort of a small town, you'll feel right at home.

On the south shore of Double Lake, in southern Minnesota lake country — the kind of town with one café, a church basement that quietly runs the county, and a 6:04 train you can set your watch by.
